THE RINKS.

There was a double attraction at the Palace last evening. The first was a two-mile race between employes in the D.1.C., some of whom proved efficient skaters. Norman started at scratch, conceding seven laps to some of the others, but the handicap was rather too much. The result was— M'Kenzic 1, Gray 2, Hitchcock 3. Later on twenty bicyclists, under Mr A. G. Melville, went through a scries of evolutions in an effective and graceful manner. The Engineers' benefit takes place to-morrow. The Columbia was well patronised last evening. An obstacle race has been arranged for Thursday.
