■» CITY POLICE COURT. (Before Mr Robert Chisholm, J.P.) Drunkenness. H'iWtam Woods, for being drunk whilst in charge of a horse and dray in King street, lost night, was fined 20s, or forty-eight hours' imprisonment, Sergeantmajor Bovin stating that he had been convicted last month for the same offence. It was for his own protection that he had been arrested.— CliriMophcr \IL Walch (a first offender), was fined ss, or twenty-four hours' imprisonment. Vagrancy. Margaret Lethaby was charged with having no visible weans of support. Sergeant-major Bcvin intimated that the accused had been ordered to leave town a fortnight ago, and had since done so. Ho now asked permission to withdraw the charge.—Case accordingly dismissed.
