The Garonne repeatedly lignnllcd to the Lucinda to port her helm, but no notice was talton of the warning, and apparently no watch was kept on board the Lucinda. The Garonne struck the Lucinda amidships. Twenty of tho LucindVs crew clambered aboard the Garonne. One man was killed by the colli ion. She passed the steamer Beeswing, from Lyttelton. bound for Sydney, off Walpapapa Point yesterday aftf-rnoon , The Manapouri, from Melbourne via the Bluff, arrived at 7.80 a.m. to-day, and cased off the Port to tranship mails, when she steamed direct to Dunodin She left Melbourno at 3p m. on the 23rd inst.; passed Swan Island at 9 a.m. on the 24th, experienced strong E S.E. winds across, and breasted tho Solanders at 1.30 a.m. on the 28th, arriving at tho Bluff at 8 o.m , leaving again at 4.30 p.m. same day ; had fine weather along the coast, and arrived as above. The schooner Isabella Anderson was towed up to Duncdin yesterday evening by the tug Plucky. The Worecter was putting out the last of her inward cargo this forenoon, and loading for London, for which port she sails via Lyttelton tomorrow Tbo Ohau, from Auckland direct, arrived at Port Chalmers at 1015 o.m. tr-day, and steamed alongside the hulk to coal.
