[By Electric Telegraph—Copybight.] [Peb Pbess Association.] THE GENTLEMEN IN FOR A BIG SCORE. London, May 28. (Received May 29,1888, at 1.50 p.m.) The match between the Australians and the Gentlemen of England began at Lords to-day. The Colonials went in first, and were all out for 179 ; Jones being highest with 61, and M'Dormell contributing 41. At the close of the day's play the Gentlemen had lost only one wicket for 235 runs, W. G. Grace being not out with 150. Shuter made 71.
