A draper's assistant in London, who waa in the habit, with his master's cognisance; of attending a workmen's Socialistic meeting, neglected for a week or two to attend the meetings, and the following dialogue took place between master and 'man. Master: " Well, John, and how is it that you have not kept up your attendance at the Socialistic meetings?" John (rather confusedly) : " Well, sir, I don't think I shall go any more." Master: " But how is that' John J" John : " I have found out,' oir.'thfat the scheme is npt quite so fair as I thought if was. At the last meeting I attended" w$ calculated how much there would be iot everyone when everything was divided up, and we found it would be LlO5 each ; and you know, sir, I have Ll5O in the bank,"
