SPECIAL TELEGRAM.
LAWRENCE, May 28. At the Court to-day William Draper was charged with using provoking language towards David M'lntosh (director of the Blue Spur Company). Accused was bound over to keep the peace for six months in two sureties of L 5 each. M'lntosh was also charged by Draper with a similar offence, but the information was dismissed. The trouble arose out of a wager made between the parties over the Blue Spur claims, which M'lntosh refused to pay, and which Draper persisted in demanding. The gaoler here has received notice that his services are no longer required. He has been thirtepn yearg in the Service, and retires on an allowance, £fo is to be succeeded by a younger man, who will have to perform police duty as well,
