Malls close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, subject to the necessary alterations, as under : For Northern Ports, overland daily, at 7.30 a, tn.. at Chief Post Office. Lato letters, North express train, at 8.10 a.m. Friday, May 18. For Southland, Australian Colonies (via Hobart), India, China, Janan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per a.s. Tarawera, at 1.50 p.m. Money orders (lor Australian colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers, at 12.50 p.m. Late letters, guard’s van. Port Chalmers train, at 2.30 p.m. Saturday, May 19. For Australian colonies (to connect with the Wakalipu), at 7.30 ara Lato letters, mail van North train, at 8,10 a.m. SAN FRANCISCO MAIL SERVICE. Friday. May 18. For Northern Ports, the United Kingdom via San Francisco, Continent of Europe, Samoa, Sandwich Is'auds, United States of America, Canada, etc., at 6 a.m. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Thursday, 17th. Money orders at 4 p.m. on Thursday, 17th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 p.m. on Thursday, 17 hj. , , , Late letters, hearing an additional single rats of postage (6(1) as a lato foe, can be posted in the mail van attached to the North train, leaving Dunedin railway station at 8.10 a.m. on Friday, 18lb. The above mall will close for newspapers at the Branch Post Office, Albany street, at 9 p.m., on the 17th, money orders nt 4 p.m , registered letters at B p.m., and for letters at 5 a.m. on the 18th. At the South Dunedin Office, for newspapers at 8 p.m., money orders at 4 p.m , and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 17tb, and tor letters at 5 a.m. on the 18th. \t the Pott Chalmers Office, at 8 a.m. on the 18th ; money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 17th. NOTICE Thursday, 24th inst. (Her Majesty’s Birthday), being a Post Office holiday, all mails usually despatched on that day will be closed on Wednesday, 25rd, at 8 p.m. A delivery hy letter carriers, etc , will ho made over the counter on Wednesday evening from 9 till 10 o'clock.
