FATALITIES.
A two-year-old child of Mr Foster, of Ornaiti (Auckland), has been poisoned by laudanum, given in mistake by an elder brother. „ . George Revell, settler at Harnsville, fell dead whilst walking on his verandah on Thursday. Death was due to heart disease; David Grainey, about eleven years of age t accidentally fell over a quarry face at Greymouth on Sunday, a height of 60ft or 80ft, and his head was split open. Although not dead, there is little hope of his recovery. He was looking after some cowsat the time.
GREYMOUTH, April 16. : James Payn, for many years county clerk for the Grey County, was found dead at his private residence this morning, sitting In a chair by the fire. It is supposed that apoplexy was the cause of death, ’
