A two-year-old child of Mr Foster, of Ornaiti (Auckland), has been poisoned by laudanum, given in mistake by an elder brother. „ . George Revell, settler at Harnsville, fell dead whilst walking on his verandah on Thursday. Death was due to heart disease; David Grainey, about eleven years of age t accidentally fell over a quarry face at Greymouth on Sunday, a height of 60ft or 80ft, and his head was split open.
