AN ELECTRIC STORM.
NEW PLYMOUTH, March 17. A terrific electrio storm passed over New Plymouth last night, which lasted for two hours. The lightning was most vivid, and rain fell in torrents. No damage is reported, although a whirlwind was seen to suspend sheets of corrugated iron in the air for some seconds and carry them some thirty to forty yards.
