THE CANADIAN FISHERIES DISPUTE.

The Fisheries Treaty with Canada provides inter alia for the free admission of fish, but commercial reciprocity is not conceded. Mr Bayard, Secretary of Stato for the United States, expresses himself satisfied with the terms of the Treaty. NEW YORK, February 17. Mr limes states that the three-mile limit in the Fisheries Treaty is to he calculated as three miles from the nearest shore. The privileges of American fishermen in Canadian ports are to he widened.
