FIRES.
Bell’s flax-mill at Inch Clutha was burned down early on Tuesday afternoon. It is believed that the fire was c&ised by a spark from the engine. The flax and plant destroyed were valued at L2OO, but there was no insurance, A coroner’s jury found that the fire which destroyed Hanning’s Hotel at Gatlin’s was the result of incendiarism.
