Tin? Conference of the New Zealand Temperance Alliance lias ooncludcd its sitting at Wellington. The following resolatioiT wa3 carried :—" That this Conference of representatives from the different lodges of the Colony endeavor to .secure the appointment of'committees for the advancement of Prohibition in the Colony, and earnestly urge their friends in each licensing district to form meetings and secure votes in favor of no increase of licenses in the coming Local Option contests."
