A Press Agency cablegram from Sydney states that Bowmont has receded in the betting for the Anniversary Handicap, and both Cardinal and Ben Bolt arc being supported. Pasha has been injured internally, and been turned out for a spell. Mr Stead did not nominate for either the Newmarket Handicap or the Australian Cup. We hear that he had written out nominations for both events, and then changed his mind. In the Northern provinces First Lord and Lady Norah are regarded as exceptionally well treated in the Dunedin Cup Handicap. Were it not for the uncertainty of his going to the other side, Nelson would, however, be a decided favorite for the event,
