THE CASE OF THE CHILD POWELL.
Mr Carew informs us that he has considered the question as to whether anything further can be done respecting the death of the child Violet Powell. He agrees with the verdict of the jury at the inquest, which verdict does not charge the mother with manslaughter. The evidence at the inquest would not support such a charge, and none other could be brought against her.
