OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
The Council of the Association met on Saturday evening to make Anal arrangements for the forthcoming meeting. The programme as settled is similar to that of last year (with the addition of the Reming-ton-Leo Sweepstakes), the prizes and ranges being the same, except that the aggregate prizes have been slightly decreased. It was decided to supply ammunition on the range, so as to prevent dissatisfaction and any chance of unfair practices being resorted to. The subscription and entry for the first four matches has been raised to LI 10s; an entry of 2s 6d will be required in the Consolation Match, and of 4s 6d in the Maiden, inclusive in all cases of the necessary ammunition. it was mentioned that free railway E asses would be granted to Volunteer memers who should apply for same to Lieutenant-colonel Wales through their respective commanding officers. Given good weather, there is every prospect of the annual meeting proving a success, A meeting of the Ladies’Challenge Shield Committee was held immediately alter the above, and it was decided to increase the entry to L2 5s per team, including ammunition,
