ROSLYN.

The return match President v. Vicepresident was played on the green on Saturday afternoon. The green was in splendid condition, and good play was shown on both sides. In reporting the opening match a mistake was made in transposing the scores in one of the rinks, giving the President's side * majority of II points, instead of which the Vice-president's aide won by 13 point* :

DUNEDIN. The Dunedin Club's green was opened, on Saturday afternoon by a match President v Vice-president, There was a large attendance of members, and by half-past two five rinks were formed. In the absence of the president (the Hon. T. Fergus, M.H.R.), the vice-president (Mr Andrew Mouat) declared the green open, and play commenced at 3 p.m.; Mr D. Baxter representing the president. The green is in beautiful condition. It was agreed that the match should be a two-hours' game, and at 3.30 p.m. the Vice-president was leading considerably. At four o'clock the scores were: —President, 46 ; Vice-president, 44. At 4.30 : President, 80; Vice-president, 61; and at 5 p.m. the game resulted in favor of the President by 12 points. The following are the scores:— PRESIDENT. VICE-PRESIDENT. No. 1 Rink.

CALEDONIAN. The Caledonian Bowling Club opened their season on Saturday. The weather was splendid. The green was in fair order, and after a little play will be an improvement on last year.
