The Chairman said that he had no special report to bring up, the meeting being a special one called for the purpose of passing a resolution that the Company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1 1886, and appointing a liquidator. He could, however, congratulate the shareholders on their getting well on with the winding up of the Company, acd the distribution of the assets. Their posi i<>n was that they hj d a balance of L 1,393 odd at the bank, and that there were uncollected rates to the amount of L 359 14s 5d ; t whde their liabilities were only LVSO. He thought they should give great credit to their secretary (Mr R. fl. Leary) for the manner in which he had got in the outstanding rates. Originally there was L 7.500 oustanding, but all had been got in quietly with the exception of the L 339 mentioned. The loss to shareholders in the whole affair would be about LI 18s per share when it came to be wound up. It was resolved that the Company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr Leary be appointed liquidator at a remuneration of fifty guineas. It was also resolved that the Company’s land be disposed of by auction.'
