CONSTABLE MILLER’S PROWESS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sib.—l was glad to observe in your last night's issue the account of Constable Miller's courage in subduing, at great risk, so forocious an animal. That there was great daDger in encountering it is evident from the fact, as I am informed, that before the constable's arrival on the scene it had overthrown several persons, and tossed one over its head. Had the constable's feat been performed in Spain, he would doubtless have been lionised; and I considor ho ia deserving of the highest commendation for his intrepidity, and hope it will be suitably recognised by his principals. In conclusion, I trust he will long be enabled to "take the bull by the horns."—l am, etc., G.H.H. Dunedin, October 13.
