REQUISITION TO SIR R. STOUT.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l notice a letter in your issue of this evening signed "Elector," under tLe htadiug " Re Requisition to Sir Robert Stout " Now, sir, if I had been of an interfering turn of mind, and going to show my mind through the Press, I ceitainly should not have used a nora de plume. Even with such a signature, I question the right of " Elector'' to interfere in the matter, or with those who were the means of starting the petition. I have only to say in reply to "Elector " that, if he is opposed to the petition, he can keep his name off it, and lam certain it will not be missed; and, if he has any more to say on the subject, he might let us have his name, if he is not ashamed of it. —I am, etc., A. M. Drvden. Dunedin, September 30.
