The Kahu, from Chatham Islands, has arrived with the news of the wreck of the brigantine 0> aha at the Islands on July 24, she having been driven on to a reef while trying to beat out of Owahanga, and became a total wreck. All hands wereßaved. She is insured in the New Zealand Office for Ll.Boo. An Inquiry was held before the Magistrate, and the certificate of Captain Darnell, the master, was suspended for six months.
