A NICE POINT.
[From Ode Own Correspondent.]
QUEENSTOWN, September 5. The Lake County Council met to-day for the despatch of business. It was stated that the chairman’s name did not appear on the existing electoral roll, and the question was raised as to whether he would therefore be unseated, he having parted with his qualifications. The Council adjourned for three hours to obtain by telegraph the opinion of the county solicitor, at present in Dunedin.
