PUBLIC NOTICES. R NEIL'S BOTANIC DISPENSARY, f 74 George street, Dcnedin. NOTICE OF REMOVAL. Changes are the order of the day. After being in our present premises for over ten years, and having established one of the finest Botanic Businesses in the Southern Hemisphere, we are about to Remove to Premises of our own, eleven doors nearer the centre of the City. Our number will then be 74 GEORGE STREET. We must take this opportunity of thanking our numerous customers for their past patronage, which has been very liberal. It has enabled us to extend our trade all over New Zealand, so that now we have a branch business at Main South road, Timaru; also, at Wellesley street, Auckland, and 25 Eastern Arcade, Melbourne. Agencies - Matheson and Co., Invercargill; J. Familton, Oamaru; Peter Dewar, Milton; W. H. Eyrie, Courtney place, Wellington. Besides our special agents we supply storekeepers and others wholesale in various parts. No doubt much of our success has be<n owing to the fact that we have always tried to get the best class of goods, and sell them at reasonable prices. Although we have had a monopoly of our class of goods, and could have charged our own prices, yet we have endeavored to keep prices nearly on a par with England and America. Our herbs, roots, barks, and seeds range from one halfpenny per ounce to one shilling, and a few veiy costly ones a little higher. Many of our customers having medical botanic books, purchase the crude materials and prepare them for themselves; but as this entails some trouble, and not having the means of pressing, some of the virtue is lost. On this account people generally prefer to buy ready-made mixtures. We have, therefore, compounded several medicines for the cure of the various troubles to which flesh is heir. The following U the principil list: — THE READY RELIEF ASTHMA POWDER, for burning and inhaling the smoke. This compound Powder has been one of the greatest boon* to sufferers that have been put on the patent medicine market. In 1884 I visited Chicago, U.S.A. In attenging ray studies there, I came in contact with a Professor Davis, who did a large practice. He gave me the recipe, telling me that it had been a Godsend to many a poor sufferer there. One lady buying a tin says: "Itis so good; I wish my father in England could get some of it." Another says : " I have tried all the Powders for Asthma, for some of whioh I have paid 10s a tin; but your Ready Relief Asthma Powder is more effective than them all." With this Powder and our Asthma Mixture it will be a hard case which they will not cure. Price of Powder, Is and 2s 6d per tin, Bottles of Mixture, Is 6d and 2s 6d. BALM OF GILEAD, OR COLD CURER. —Ten years ago we thought that a good medicine for the cure of Colds, Bronchitis, Coughs, and Chest Complaints generally was wanted; so we carefully sought the advice of medical friends (botanic books) to help us to put up the best selection (having many to choose from.) Our mixture has had a splendid sale, considering the limited market. We have sold many thousands of bottles, and our sale is increasing. It is a household medicine with many, and few medicines have done so much good in the same time.
