NIGHT SCHOOLS.
TO THE EDITOB.
Sir,—Does it not seem a disgrace to the citizens of Dunedin that there should not be a single night school in the wholo City ? There are many lads who would be only too glad to get the chance of bettering themselves by attending such a school. There is not a single city of Dunedin's size in the whole of New Zealand and Australia but what has several night schools held twice or three times a-week. Surely some private night school could be opened. If so, I can rely on its being well attended. People who cannot afford to keep their boys at sohool as long as they would like would ako be very glad of the opportunity of sonding them to a night sohool. I hope that some of your readers will take this matter in hand.—lam, etc., Young New Zealander. Dunedin, July 7.
