MEETING OF CREDITORS.
KK J. ECKIIOFF. A meeting of creditors in the estate of Jacob Eckhoff, of Dunedin, master manner, was held at the Official Assignee’s office this af The° Bankrupt’s statement set forth that his liabilities are LI 18 16a 9d, and assets LI 0. The princi pal creditors are as follows ; —Mercer Brothers, L4O 19s Cd ; A, and T. Inglia, Ll2 4s; G. Blyth, L 7 10s; Mollison, Duthie, and Co., L 7 17s 3d; J. M'Phersou, L 7 19s 9d ; G. Bateman, L9l2s; D, Mann and Co., L 5 8s 6d. A secured creditor (S. Myers), for L4O 12a 6d, holds a security valued at L2B 8s 6d. The Bankrupt, on being examined by the Assignee, said that he had been doing nothing for over a twelvemonth until February last, when he got a three-months’ job as pilot of a coasting vessel. He had ten children, of whom only one was working. All his debts were of over a year’s standing, and several of them extended over some years. His profession of coastal sailing-master had collapsed of late years, there being nothing but steamers running now, and the steam companies would not take on any but young men. & It was resolved on the motion of Mr J. fll'Auley, seconded by Mr G. Blyth, that the bankrupt be recommended for his discharge,
