The brigantine Smaragd having oomp'eted her loading, sailed down from Dunedin yesterday afternoon, and anchored oft Carey Bay, In readiness for sailing for Auokland.

The Beautiful Scar left Oatnaru at 4 80 p.m. yesterday; had light southerly winds, with line weather, alon< theooast, and reached Dunedin wharf at 11 36 p.m. She brought 600 saoks of potatoes for transhipment to the Mararoa, and three saloon and five steerage passengers, The Grafton, from Westport via Timaru and Inter, mediate ports, arrived at Port Chalmers at 8 a. m. to-day, and steamed direot to town.
