MASONIC.

The annual meating, installation of W.M. ami investiture of officers of L'.dge St Patrick, 468, X.C., took place last evening (St. John the Baptist 8 Day) at the llattray street Hall. There was a very good attendance of visitors, all the City, suburban, and Port Chalmers lodges being well represented. The lodge was opened by W.M. 0. E. Thompson, and alter the visitors hid been received he vacated the chair in favor of P.M. Bro. W. Caldwell. G S.G.L.S., an honorary member of Bodge St. Patrick, who had consented to act as installing master. The W. Installing Master then proceeded to iustal W. Bro D. A. M‘NIco!(A.P.M. of the English and Scotch Constitutions, and twice previously W.M. of Lodge St. Patrick) into the chair of K.S. for the ensuing term. The following officers were also invested IP M Bro. 0. E. Thompson ; S.W , Bro. T. 11. Shadwcll: J.W., Bro. D. Wishart; Treasurer, Bro. A. Barrett, P.M.; Secret iry, Bro. W. M‘Keich ; S.D , Bro. P. Stewart: J. !>., P>ro. D. 0. Shepherd; 1.G., Bro. H. E. Niven ; Chaplain, Bro. W. UonaKlson ; Organist, Bro. A. J. Barth ; D.C., Bro. W. Gilbert i and Tyler, Bro. H. B. Meyer. The ceremony was ably performed by the \V. Installing Master, his addresses in particular being very effectively delivered. I.P.M. Bro. Thompson made an efficient D. of O.T. The various odes and anthems etc. incidental to the proceedings were well rendered - y the Masonic choir, under the leadership of Bro. F. Bailey, win acted as organist. After visitors had convoyed the customary greetings, tto lodge was closed in due and ancient form at 0.45 p.m.

A banquet was subsequently held, when the usua' loyal and Masonic toasts were honored, and a number of the brethren contributed to the enjoyment of the occasion by singing, etc.
