PHIENIX CLUB’3 AVERAGES. The following are the batting and bowling averages of the First Eleven of the above club for the season 1886-7. Charles Frith’s performance with the ball is an exceedingly good one. He secured 111 wickets at k cost of 457 runs, or 4.13 runs per wicket. Through the mislaying of a scoring-book, it was found impossible to compile the averages of the Second Eleven. Messrs A. M'Lean, James Beck, Hanlon, and Neave did very well with the bat; and Hanlon, Beck, Hungerford, Neave, and M‘Gregor with the ball. Battiso Averages.— First Eleven.
