THE AFGHAN REVOLT.

[By Electric Telegraph.—Copybight.l [Reuter's Telegrams.] CALCUTTA, June 12. Two regiments at Herat have already deserted and joined the rebels. The Ameer has left Cabul to assume the command of the troops in operations against the rebels. (Received June 14, 1887, at 1.30 a.m.) Later advices from Afghanistan report that the statement that the Ameer has left Cabul to assume command of the troops operating against the rebels is untrue.
