INTERPROVINCIAL.

AUCKLAND, Jpne 14. Sir J, B. Thurston, Lieutenant-Governor of Fiji, is a passenger by the Arawata en route to attend the Samoau Conference at Washington. Mr John Buchanan has been appointed president of the Financial Reform League. The Arawata brings Fiji news to Jupe 8. A phenomenal fall of rain did considerable damage to public and private property at Levuka on May 24. Tongan advices state that things are very unsettled there. No announcement of religious freedom has yet been made, Thirty Wesleyan churches were reopened after the Diamond left; but a law was subsequently passed under which half of them had to be closed, and a system of police espionage has been re-established. WOODVILLE, June 14. The train to Woodville last night ran into a bullock near Matamau, and the engine was derailed. The passengers were compelled to stay in the train all night, as the place where the accident occurred is a long way from any settlement. KAIKOURA, June 14. Mr William Makepeace, a musician, has been missing since May 27. The presumption that he was drowned has been confirmed by the right hand, the back, and other bones of a human being being washed ashore here. With the exception of the hand, there is little doubt that the remains are those of the missing man. WELLfNGTON, June 14. The special services which will be held at St. Paul's 6n Monday will partake of the character of a State thanksgiving, and the Governor will attend in his official capacity.
