She lived alone, and last Thursday told a little girl who sometimes attended her to make.a la,rge fire'in. the kitchen. She then sent the child away, felling her to return in an hour.' On comjng back the. girl went to attend to the fire and founcl the body of the child burning. Her father informed the poljce in the eyeing, an<| Detectives Neill'and Cj'Connor went ana'foan4 in the grace IwneY which Dir pronounced to be those of a child, not examined them carefully "enongh w say of what age. She accused" denied haying beeji confined. ' Ths pqson'er was committed for trial for concealment; of bjrth. The! defence is that she had* had a miscarriage.
