THE EASIER ENCAMPMENT.
As we mentioned a few evenings ago, there will not be so large a muster of volunteers from Otago at the Easter encampment this year as is generally the case. The Dunedin Navals, who usually muster very strongly, have decided not to put iu an appearance, as several men cannot get away tho neoesßary four days} while the City Guards and the North Dunedin Rifles only expect to muster thirty men. The Hussars will be strongly represented, and are alone likely to have sufficient men present to count as a parade for capitation, For the information of Volunteers, wo may state that, unless two-thirds of a company attend, the encampment will not count towards parades for capitation. In previous years an encampment counted as so many daylight parades ; but this year two-thirds of a company must attend or the encampment will not count as parades at all.
