FOOTBALL.
The annual general meeting of the Pacific Football Club was held at the Pioneer Hotel, St, KUda, yesterday evening; there being forty-two members present. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, and twenty-three new members were proposed and elected. The following officers were elected for the coming season : Mr Galloway (re - elected); vice-presidents, Messrs George Bead (reelected) and J. F. M. Fraser (re-elected); captain, Mr F.. L. Home (re-elected); deputy-captain, Mr A. Austin; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr G. L. Butlin; Match Committee, Messrs F. L. Horae, A. Austin, and G. Hudson; General Committee, Messrs F. L. Horne, A. Austin, G. Hudson, M'Cutoheon, and A. Sullivan; delegates to Otago Rugby Union, Messrs T. Horne and J. P. Smith. It was decided to play the opening match on the first Saturday in April. The Caversham Club held their annual meeting at the Tramway Terminus Hotel on Monday evening, when there were present the president (Mr WWtiE). Milne) in the chair, and about thirty members. The report showed that the First Fifteen had played eight matches, winning three and losing five ; the Second Fifteen played nine, winning three, drawing three, and losing jthree. The president’s trophy (a gold locket) for best forward in First was won by 0. BriggS. Mr E. Hogg’s trophies for the best back In First, and best forward in Second Fifteen were won by A. Laing and J, Clay respectively. The Club’s trophy for the best back in Second was won by J. Stevenson, . The following office-bearers were elected: President, W. D. Milne (re--elected) ; yice-presidents, E. Hogg and M. Duncan (re-elected); captain, A. Laing; ’deputy-captain, E. Briggs; secretary and -treasurer, W. Piddington; general eom[mittee, Messrs Carter; Gillies, and Rutherford ; match committee, A. Laing, 0. Briggs, E. Wildey, F, Carter, and A, Breraner. Trophies are to be presented to the Club for coming season.
