SPORTING INTELLIGENCE.

The annual meeting of the Alhambra Football Club was held in the Pelichet Bay Hotel on Friday evening, when the chair was occupied by Mr A. A. D. M'Laughlin, vice-president. The greater part of the evening was taken up with a discussion on the amalgamation of ' the Zingari and Alhambra Clubs in September last year, and which was now referred to in the annual report, wherein it was stated that the amalgamation had been brought about by unfair means. It was agreed by those present that the words "by unfair means" be deleted from the report, and the report was then adopted as read, subject to this deletion. It appeared from this report that the Club's ground had been vastly improved since the previous year; that the first fifteen had played eight matches duripg the year, winning five, drawing 2, and only losing one, thus making the creditable show of 46 points to 7. It was agreed unanimously—- " That all business conducted at the meeting of the two clubs, and all motions passed thereat, be now rescinded, and that the Club return to" its former status as the Alhambna Football Club." The secretary to the New Zealand Bowling Association received a letter from the Vietorian Bowling Association, suggesting that a New Zealand team be sent to compete for a cup at Easter, open to them. It was decided to reply that, owing to the lateness of the season and the short notice, it would be impossible to get together teams and select representatives from the different clubs.
