(Per Untied Frees Association,] AUCKLAND, March 10. Mr Lake, M.H.R. for Waipawa, will not seek re-election, owing to private engagements, Mr Samuel Vaile is now stumping the district with bis railway reform scheme. John Henry Stubbs, who was charged with setting fire to his house at the North Shore, was brought up at the Police Court to-day and discharged. The Bench praised the police for their notion, which had saved the house for being detroyed, and said that the insane conduct of the accused fully jiist|s fied them in arresting him. , . ■
