MEETING OF CREDITORS.

BE A. OWES. An adjourned meoting of the creditors of A. Owon was held at two o'clock this afternoon. Mr Fish explained that the negotiations with the secured creditors had fallen through, and the bankrupt's goods had been realised under distraint. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Fish, seconded by Mr Mercer—"That the opposition to the transfer of license to the secured creditors be withdrawn, and that the bankrupt be recommended for discharge." re. s>. o. SMITH. An adjourned meeting of the creditors of S. fi. Smith was held at three o'clock. The Assignee stated that the business had been carried on since last meeting, and showed a profit of LIOO for the fortnight. Of course this was on paper only, and it must be taken into consideration that the price of stock had been extremely low. There had been numerous inquiries in regard to the business, but as yet no satisfactory offer had been made for it, and he would recommend ttiat the estate should be carried on for some time longer. After somo conversation it was resolved, on the motion of Mr Fagan, seconded Baxter—" That the Assignee be authorised to carry on the business for one nvnth longer, if a satisfactory priee is not obtained to the satisfaction of the Assigneo and the supervisor, in which case they are empowered to sell."
