RAILWAY RETURNS.

The following arc the detailed returns for the Hurunui-Bluff section for the same poriod ; The return of railway revenue and expenditure for the period from April 1 to April 25 (inclusive) appears in the 'Gazette.' The total revenue for the twentyfive days was L90.06114s Bd, while in the corresponding period last year (which was, however, one of twenty-six days) the revenue was L 93.501 9* '2d. The North Island "lines contri utcd this year L 24.150 Bs, as compared with L 23.319 8s lOd la9t year ; and the Middle Inland lines L08.9H 6* Bd, as against L 70.182 Od 4d. The total expenditure this year was L 49.824 12s Bd, as compared with L 48.859 8s 9d for la9t year's period.
