The mulberry is very fine and very abundant in Afghanistan. Bosides being eaten in large quantities fresh, the fruit is gathered when ripe, dried on the tops of the houses, and stored for winter use, when the Cabulese pound it to a fine powder, mix it with flour, and make into broad.
