The Rose U., from Fort Stephens (N.S.W.), was reported passing Cape Saunders at 6.50 p.w yesserday, and crossed the bar astern of the Plucky at 7.50 p.m. She anchored in the quarantine ground until this forenoon, when she was towed up to town. she left Port Stephens on the 17th inst. The Hahinapua, from Greymouth via Wellington, arrived at noon to-day, and passed up to town. She left Greymouth at 8.15 p. m. on the 25th; experienced a fresh northerly Dreeze until 2 a.m. on the Sotb; passed Cape Farewell at Oi.ni. with a strong B.W. breeze, Stephens Island at 0.40 p.m., and The Brothers at 3SO p.m.; left Wellington at 8.10 p.m.; passed Capo CunpMl «t midnight j experienced CivA southerly breeze to arrival. The Haivea, from the North, arrived at 0.90 p.m-to-day, and the tide being favorable she passed op to town. She left Nelson at ISO p.m. on the 25th, Pioton at 3.30 a.m. on the 26th, Lyttelton at 1 p.m. on the 27th. and Jkkaroa at 9.10 p-m. . There have arrived in Liverpool bom South America, Captain Phillips and a boy belonging to the iron barque Olano, which wai wrecked in the Straits of Lemaire, through which disaster the whole of the crew underwent a most trying vjcperience.. TbeOhao originally sailed from Swansea-io Eosario, but when the disaster happened she -was bound in ballast from the latter place. Whilst in the Straits of Lemaire the vessel trot ashore on Staten Island. The crew eottJd ' not refloat her, and therefore launched a boat ind succeeded in reaching the shore. Next morning it was found that the vessel had sunk, nothing but the tops of her vasts being visible abovp the water. - The men had been unable to Bare any food, but with a piece of an old sail they managed to rig up a small tent.
