THE AUSTRALIANS AT HOME.
[Reuter's Telegrams.] LONDON, May 26. The match Australians versus Surrey was continued at Kennington Oval to-day. The weather was very fine, and there was a very large attendance. The wicket was rather bumpy. The Australians continued their first innings, and were all disposed of for 100 runs. The following were the highest scorers : —Murdoch, bowled, 26 ; Horan, caught, 20. The fielding of the Englishmen was excellent. The Surrey Eleven then went in for their second innings, and were all disposed of for 46 runs. Garrett and Boyle bowled splendidly, the former taking six wickets for 3 runs and Boyle four for 16 runs. At the close of the day's play the Australians had lost two wickets for 98. Bannerman scored 28 and was bowled.

At the match to-day the Australians resumed their second innings, and succeeded in putting together the required number of runs, 119, for the loss of only four wickets, thus winning the match by six wickets. M'Donnell was bowled for 35, and Horan was bowled for 33.
