Steward's Operator won the Maiden Pla.te and the District Handicap; the same owner's Border Lad won the Mataura Handicap and the Selling Race ; and the same owner's Tera secured the Ladies' Purse. The only other winner during the meeting was Mr W. Pollock, who took the Consolation Stakes with Miss Griffiths. Wallacetown races were held on the same day, but here the stakes were better divided. Mr E. Raine's Rattler won the Steeplechase Handicap. The Maiden Plate was taken by Mr R. Patterson's Gipsy, who had run second to Rattler in the previous race. Mr N. Sellar's Beamsman won the Trotting Handicap and Mr M. Hayes's Paddy the Wallacetown Handicap. The programme concluded with a Hack Race and Consolation Stakes, the former being won by Mr Bridge's Little Fraud, and the latter by the same owner's Viper. THE OAKS. [By Cable.] LONDON, May 26.
