LICENSING COMMITTEE ELECTIONS.

The polling for Dunedin Leith District yesterday resulted in the return of Messrs John Barnes, James Allen, G. Eliot Eliott, T. S. Graham, and John Mathers. Although Mr Fergus had formally intimated his retirement, he received seven votes. Only 149 of the 903 ratepayers on the ward roll voted. There were five informal votes. Messrs R. Boenicke, G. S. Matheson, C. Fountain, James Jackson, sen., and R. Chisholm have been elected for the Sunnyside District of Roslyn Borough. For the Maori Hill District, Messrs Robert Davidson, William Jones, Robert Rossbottiam, George Rendall, and Edward Tanner have been returned, Messrs Lawson and Hogg having retired.
