The Provisional Committee shall, so soon as the allotment of shares has taken place, appoint seven of their number to act as Provisional Directors until the first general meeting of tho shareholders, to be held within four months after the registration of the Company, when the Directors to hold office in terms of the Articles of Association shall ho elected by the shareholders. The primary object for which it is proposed to establish the Company is : The administration of estates by the ComIpany, as Trustee and Executor, so as to obviate the danger of misapplication of trust funds, and tho inconvenience arising from the death or removal of 5 Trustees nominated under a settlement. As the Land Transfer Act holds Trustees to be absolute owners, it is advisable, for tho complete protection of beneficiaries, that real estate for trust purposes should be vested in the Company. It is also intended that the Company shall have power to act as— Trustee in Bankrupt and Insolvent Estates, Attorney for tho Management of Property belonging to persons who desire to delegate such management, either on account of absence from the Colony or otherwise ; Committee for Lunatics ; Guardian for Infants; and generally in the transaction of all Agency business, financial or otherwise ; Arbitrator or Umpire in the .settlement of disputes; and as Valuator. A leading feature in the conduct of the Com- \ mnv's business will be that all charges against clients will he by commission, regulated by a ! table of rates, thus removing all ground of : complaint on the score of heavy legal costs, i It is expected that the Directors will have no difficulty in carrying on the business of i the Company, in the meantime, without other j professional assistance than tho services of an i efficient secretary; hut it is intended, whenever it has increased vo as to warrant the employ- j ment of a solicitor as manager, at a fixed j j salary, the appointment will be open for com- \ petition, and a gentleman of tho highest legal j attainments selected. At the same time, where , constituents direct that their own law adviser i should be consulted, their instructions will bo ; duly given effect to.
