THE BABY NUISANCE.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—Last evening I vieited, n-.-t for the first time during my stay in Dancdln, tne Queen Theatre, awl, ss on saveral previous occasions, had tho extreme felicity of listening to the delightful mu&ic omanatbg from a crying baby. I think it about time such a nuis&nca was pui an eßd to, and would commend to the authorities the practice now adopted in Melbourne and oilier leading theatrical centres ; v;z , tba'i of charging a guinea per head for all children in trmß. Not only are visitors bored with tho crying, but remarki that follow from the pit aro not generally of the choicest and most select nature. Farther, I do not think the amusoment of several hundred should be marred because some mother is unable to attend without her offspring.—l am, etc., A Frequent Visitor. Duuedin, February 20.
