Prices for the better descriptions were well supported, but coirser kinds scarcely supported late rates. Some c mslderable parcels not realising owners’ ideas were withdrawn for shipment. Wo sold in all 470 bales and 37 bags at the following prices:—Cross-breds and long-wool; Greasy, BJd to 12Jd : rams, 7id ; washed, 14id. Merino : Greasy, 7ftd to 12d : wo shed, 12Jd to 16id; and scoured, 18d. Sheep-kins.—With a large attendance of buyers and good competition at our sale on Monday last we disposed of a good catalogue at fully late prices Fullwoolled cross-1 reds skins’ fetched from is 4d to 6s lid, and merinoes’ 4s 7d to 5s 5d ; ordinary bUlds up to 3s lid; lambskins. Is 6d to 23 5d ; pells, Is Id to Is 9J ; skins at per lb, dto 7 Jd. . Hides.—Demand firm, at from previous prices to a slight improvement, at which all lots coming forward readilv pass into consumption. We can place parcels of well-conditioned salted hides at 4d per lb. , Tallow is without alteration. We quote 24s foi fair quality, and ICs for rough fat, at which wo have made Wheat: Buyers holding aloof. Any quotations would be only nominal, and no business of an importance c»a be expected until the new crop is for W Oats.—Market still very quiet, the small demand existing being almost exclusively for export.
