THE KAIKORAI GOOD TEMPLARS' HALL.
TO THE. EDITOR. Sir,—Kindly permit me to correct an error which, doubtless unwittingly, found its way into your report of the Kaikorai Presbyterian Church tea-meeting, recently held in the Kaikorai Good Templars' Hall, in which it is stated that "the hall was overcrowded, and an adjournment had to be made to the church," thus conveying the idea that the hall is a building of less accommodation than the Kaikorai church, whereas the fact is that the hall has accommodation for over 100 persons more than the church. It was on that account that the church people engaged thehallfor tea, anticipating that there would be more persons present than could be served with tea conveniently in the church, while the hall would Be ample for that purpose, and from whence an adjournment could conveniently be made to the church for the after-portion of the service. By inserting the above you will remove that which otherwise might prove detrimental to the prosperity of the Hall Company.—l am, etc.,
