SALT WATER BATHS.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —ln last night’s Star I saw aletter about . baths. I think it js a disgrace to' Dunedin, the largest City in New Zealand, that It has not a place for its inhabitants to bathe in. If the City Council were to begin now they would perhaps be able to get baths erected by .next spring. There should be no humbug of putting up a temporary place, but get good deep and permanent baths. The City Council might at least give this a consideration. Because our councillors do not enjoy a bath, is that any reason why the public should suffer and go about dirty ? No wonder we get disease in the town ; if we had suitable baths erected there would not be such a lot of money wasted in building fever hospitals, etc. I hope, Mr Editor, you will give, this your warmest support.—l am, etc., Natatoe.
