Borrows’s* letter in this evening s Star, in which ho takes exception to the statement made by the organist of St Matthew’s Church at the meeting held on Monday night last, I am exceedingly grateful to find the statement in without foundation, as it Was put forward as a reason why praoti o should be allowed in St. Matthew’s Church—a course of procedure to which our incumbent, as well os a number of adherents, arc strongly opposed. 1 trust the doy may never dawn on any Christian church when, through the inconsiderate action of amateur organists, the day of rest has to be sacrificed o makeup for their shortcomings during the reek.--am, &c., _ ' A Lover op Truth.
