At the Ashburton County Trial, at Methven, on March 6, 1878. the Firist Prize was awarded to the driver of the only M'Cormick Machine present in competition with twelve machines of another make. At the Public Trial, held under the auspices of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association, at the Grange, Taieri, on March: 16, 1878, the Thirty Judges appointed were unanimous awarding the FIRST PRIZE TO THE M'CORMICK MACHINE. The season's stock of the above machines is now being landed at Port Chalmers from the v. 0.
