Tallow—Supply small; medium mixed, 25s 6d per cwt; inferior, 225; rough fat, 21s. Grain.—Wheat: Market is quite stagnant, buyers and sellers holding aloof from doing business. Stocks are getting lighter at the outsorts. In Dune Jin there is none, excepting in one or "two millers’ hands ; but unless a more active export demand arises both for flour and wheat no improvement can be expectel. Nominal quotations for prime milling, 4s to 4s 2d. 0 its; There is a steady demand for this grain, both tor local consumption and export, at 4s to 4s Id for good feed; milling, 4s 2d. Barley: Late arrivals have supplied present demand. Prices arc nominally unaltered—6s to 6s Cd for good malting : feed, 4s to 4s 6d. 6 Sales of Property. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co. report tho sale privately, on account of Messrs Coskery and Reid, of their Trotter’s Creek farm, consisting of 248 acres more or less, together with ttio Karligi Hotel, house, outbuildings, and crops, for L 9 15s per acre, to Mr W. S. 1 rotter; also, on account of tho proprietors of the Warepa estate, section 12, containing 12Sa 2r 3p, to Mr W. Samson.

The rate of discount is failing, and tho bank reserve is steadily rising. Consols have risen one quarter per cent., and Australian securities are slowly recovering. The new Egyptian loan amounts to L 8,500,000. Wheat is firmer. New Zealand wheat is selling, according to quality, at from 43s to 47s per 49311.
