Jordan went to a hut on Captain M Kenzie's station, and the man in charge of the premises (John Duke) noticed that he was 'in the horrors." Duke supplied the man with tea arid f cod and then resumed his work. After knocking off work in the afternoon Duke returned to his hut. and findiDg Jordan still there requested him to make his way to the home station to pass tho night. Jordan left the hut, and was not again seen alive. Portions of his clothing were found on the rirer bank, and it being assumed that the man had made away with himself, Constable Dunnett was communinicated with. That officer dragged the river on Tuesday and found the body.
